The Mission of the National Criminal Justice Training, Research, and Consulting Agency is to influence criminal justice policy and practices by providing, training, research, technical assistance and information about resources for criminal justice organizations, individuals, and related agencies and the community-at-large.
Goals and Objectives:
The primary goal of the National Criminal Justice Training, Research, and Consulting Agency (NCJTRC) is the promotion and exchange of information and resource development that will facilitate the prevention, intervention and reduction of crime through the use of the following:
• Compile and disseminate information about training and national best practices in the field.
•Serve as a resource to the academic community, providing information about current programs and practices.
•Upon request, provide technical experience and training in generic program types for small, not-for-profit community groups.
•Survey the public and special interest groups about social justice program effectiveness.
• Provide news and new policy to inform those interested in criminal and social justice about important justice issues.
•Provide training opportunities for criminal justice and social justice majors.

Consulting

The idea for this agency was born as a result of Dr. Barry S. McCrary a professor at Western Illinois University, collaborating with a dynamic group of students and graduates from Western Illinois University. This group form by, Dr. B. McCrary, Chelsea McCoy, Meisha Brown, and Elijah Richardson began developing relevant training modules based on current criminal justice needs and changing policies. With years of experience, collaborative efforts, and dynamic Western Illinois University student academic support, our agency has the capabilities and expertise to provide your organization or individual continual educational needs with current and relevant training. At the National Criminal Justice, Training, Research, and Consulting Agency, we combine our insights, and skills to transform your training processes and strategies, and in turn, your organization and individual educational needs. We’re proud to help shape and improve how our clients structure and manage their organization and individual training needs to improve the overall criminal  and social justice system.
